Info: Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver tells the story of Raziel, one of the undead lieutenants of the vampire lord Kain. Jealous of Raziel's newly evolved wings, Kain tears them apart and casts his former champion into the netherworld. But something--some kind of powerful entity that dwells in the netherworld--has restored Raziel to a semblance of life and has set him on a path of vengeance.
After this tantalizing movie introduction, you take control of Raziel in the spectral realm, where your new existence is explained to you. From there you enter the physical plane, ready to begin your quest for power and revenge. Raziel's combat moves are extremely brutal, as you'd expect from a vampire who has returned from the dead. When he finds a spear, Raziel gleefully stabs and slashes before he impales his foe, lifts it off the ground, and feasts on its soul. Doing so enhances Raziel's power, and devouring the souls of the rest of Kain's lieutenants is the only way to get the special abilities--scaling walls, phasing through gates, etc.--needed to reach Kain himself. While fun for adults, parents should take note: this game is definitely not suitable for kids.
In this sequel to the critically acclaimed Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver, reassume the role of Raziel, and travel back through the currents of time into various eras of Nosgoth's past in your relentless pursuit of Kain. For the first time in the series, both Kain and Raziel are playable, offering more action-oriented gameplay with Kain, and more puzzle solving elements with Raziel. Defiance's deep new combat system utilizes trigger aiming, and a slew of new Telekenesis moves, adding the ability to move enemies around in the air, throwing them off ledges, against spikes, into fires and more.

Legacy of Kain: Defiance focuses much more on combat as Kain and Raziel confront hordes of monstrous enemies in fierce, fast-paced battles. The completely revamped combat system promises to be accessible, responsive and satisfying, allowing for non-stop action and thrilling combo moves unique to each character.
The inclusion of the new telekinesis feature will play a fundamental role in deepening not only the combat system, but level and puzzle progression as well. A redesigned in-game camera will offer dynamic views of both the action and environments.
400 years have passed since the vampire Kain damned the world in the original Blood Omen, choosing to rule the world in damnation then die for it's salvation. Now Kain, who once controlled the land of Nosgoth with his vampire armies, finds his brethren slain and his dark powers stripped by a mysterious figure. To reclaim his rule and exact his vengeance, Kain must dispatch armies of zealot soldiers and overcome legions of demons in order to uncover the ominous plot that threatens the land he seeks to conquer.
